North Carolina Wreck Diving

Explore the Shipwrecks of the Graveyard of the Atlantic!
North Carolina diving has been ranked #1 for Best Value and #1 for Best Shipwrecks in North America countless times by Rodale’s Scuba Diving. Explore the surprisingly warm and “clear” coastal waters of North Carolina and the numerous WWII sunken vessels that rest on the bottom, including the famous U-352 German Sub.

This trip includes an extended-day of diving with lobster hunting and Beach BBQ, plus two more days of diving, with three nights double-occupancy accommodations at the Sheraton Atlantic Beach Hotel.  If you want a stress-free drive or flight, we will haul your equipment both ways for $79.

A non-refundable $100 deposit holds your space, and the balance must be paid 90 days prior, at which point all monies become non-refundable. On a first-come, first-served basis, you may rent Huron Scuba’s gear for the weekend, including two tanks, BC, regulator set, weight belt & weights, and wetsuit.

Trip Cost: Final package pricing for the 2007 trip is pending. Email us to be informed when the trip details are finalized.

Special service available! Do you have a small car or a motorcycle? Prefer to make the drive or to fly without your gear? For just $79, our trip leader will haul your gear to and from the trip for you!

Please note the following from Olympus Dive Center regarding fuel surcharges. These charges are variable within the range below based on local fuel prices, The charge will be set by the prevailing marina diesel rates two weeks prior, it will be collected from you at the dive shop in North Carolina:

"As a result of the volatile fuel market, effective 9/1/05 an additional fuel surcharge has been applied to all charter reservations. Due to the uncertainty of future prices, we are unable to predict what the surcharge will be for 2006. We’ve elected to impose the surcharge rather than altering published rates as it allows us to raise and lower the cost according to the fluctuating fuel prices. The effective surcharge for each charter will be determined two weeks prior to arrival, resulting in a final bill and being collected in its entirety from you on the final day you are here."

Fuel price per gallon: $1.75 $2.00 $2.25 $2.50 $3.00
Fuel surcharge per diver, per day: $5.00 $7.00 $8.00 $10.00 $12.00
