Experience the thrill of swimming through the break in
the Cedarville (right), a massive ore carrier that split in two
after a collision in 1965. Enjoy the spectacular
bowsprit and intact railings of the Sandusky, lost in
1856. Marvel at the structure of the Eber Ward
and the splendor of the Maitland. The history and amazing preservation of our shipwreck history is
why diving in the Great Lakes is so fascinating.
New this year, we have chartered two separate dive boats
so that you can dive with buddies of your own skill
level. One boat will be restricted to divers with at
least Advanced Open Water certification
with at least 20 dives and Great Lakes experience. The
other boat will be open to Open Water certified divers
who are taking the Advanced Open Water Course while on
the trip, or Advanced Open Water certified divers with
no prior Great Lakes experience. What a great way to
expand your experience and get you "in shape" for more
Great Lakes diving!
There are plenty of
opportunities to take the
Advanced Open Water Diver training
at Huron Scuba prior to this trip as well as on the trip
itself.
Deep Diver,
Wreck
Diver, and
Dry Suit certification dives are
also
available on this trip - sign up in advance!
The "Wreck-Lovers" package ($288) includes the maximum
available number of boat dives (up to
six - 4 on Saturday plus 2 on Sunday) from the Mackinaw City side and Huron Scuba trip
leadership, as well as two rental cylinders. The four-dive package (two on Saturday,
two on Sunday) is just $228. Lodging
priced separately; inquire about your many options.A $100 nonrefundable deposit will hold your space and
the balance must be paid by June 25th, at which
point all monies become nonrefundable. You may rent
Huron Scuba’s gear for the weekend, including tanks, BC,
regulator set, weight belt & weights, and wetsuit or drysuit system.
