  This
is a fun weekend of great diving in
Alpena, Michigan - just four hours north of Ann Arbor!
This is a great opportunity to experience excellent
wreck diving, relax in the company of your buddies, and
learn more about the history of Great Lakes shipping, &
diving. Alpena is home to the
Thunder Bay Underwater
Preserve, with one of the highest densities of
shipwrecks in the Great Lakes.
Our recreational dive group will dive five times (three dives on Saturday
and two dives on Sunday), with the option to add dives
on Friday. Your weekend package includes two nights at a
hotel in Alpena. One rental
cylinder is also included for the Saturday afternoon
dive so you don't need to scramble for fills between
outings on Saturday.
Our recreational trip this
year is being led by David Burgoyne.
David is as passionate about shipwrecks as anyone you
will ever meet and is a wonderful wealth of knowledge of
the Great Lakes, shipwrecks and what each dive has to
offer. On last year's trip to Alpena, David was
able to give the details of each shipwreck we dove and
the stories behind each of them which made the trip even
more incredible.
This trip will give anyone who
hasn't yet dove in the Great Lakes a fantastic
opportunity to dive with David, our ambassador to Great
Lakes Shipwrecks, his daughter Adrienne (our assistant
manager, and Jr. Ambassador to Great Lakes Shipwrecks)
and other members of the Huron Scuba Dive Team.

Recreational Diver Package: $399. Non-diver

Packages do not include: Meals, equipment, tanks (other than one rental
cylinder), weights,
gas fills. A
non-refundable $150 deposit holds your space, and the
balance must be paid 30 days prior, at which point all
monies become non-refundable. On a first-come, first-served basis, you may rent Huron Scuba's gear for the weekend,
including two tanks, BC, regulator set, weight belt & weights, and wetsuit or drysuit
system. Add-on dives may be available depending on
demand.
