Join us for the ultimate family summer vacation. Something for all ages to do during the kid's camp program which
offers parents a great alternative to leaving the children at home. While parents enjoy diving or snorkel trips,
children aged 5 to14 will learn about interacting with bottlenose dolphins through various encounters, feeding and
training sessions. They'll also be exposed to diving and snorkeling skills according to their age and skill level,
giving them the chance to emulate adult role models. Oceanside discussions and short classroom sessions, snorkeling
trips and other outdoor activities will give your child a real appreciation for the ocean marine life and our
environment in general.
You will receive a free visit to the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences. The institute is adjacent to Anthony's
Key Resort (“AKR”) where the Huron Scuba Dive Team will be staying on Sandy Bay, Roatan, Honduras. Be a part of
this island adventure and enjoy snorkeling or diving from your modern accommodations at AKR. Feel the warmth of
the tradewinds blowing through your wooden cabanas built into a coconut-palm forested hillside facing the
shimmering lagoon or up on stilts on a private island. AKR's modern fleet of large dive boats whisks divers to
over thirty dive sites located ten to thirty minutes from AKR's dock. At the resort's main grounds, the restaurant
and bar are built into the hillside surrounded by towering palms. A short walk from there takes you to the Roatan
Museum and Roatan Institute of Marine Sciences, where you can participate in educational programs and encounters
with marine mammals. Your package also includes horseback riding and use of kayaks and canoes. During the Island
Fiesta night enjoy live music, a limbo contest, and crab races.
