Rescue Scuba Diver
Description
This is your first step towards diving leadership, and necessary training to be a responsible diver. This course prepares you to evaluate and cope with hazards, whether they impact you or others, and is great for increasing confidence & safety.

Classroom and pool training prepare you for open water exercises, including search patterns and simulated rescues.

Course includes classroom, pool, & open water training.

5/20/17 Sat. is Open Water Training Part 1. Sun. will be Open Water Training Part 2 and the final culmination of all skills being put to use before full certification. Classroom session 5/18 required first. Both days we will meet at Springmill Pond in Island Lake Recreation area at the pavilion at 9am sharp. Students are responsible for all equipment they may need. Details
Prerequisites Open Water Diver certification, Advanced Open Water Diver, plus current First Aid & CPR required (recommended: Emergency First Responder program).
Minimum age 15 years.
Class size Minimum 4, maximum 8 students per instructor.
Classroom location Huron Scuba.
Pool location Local Middle School - TBD based on schedule.
Open water location Spring Mill Pond.
Equipment provided by student Personal snorkeling equipment (must own) and complete scuba diving equipment (may rent or own). Each buddy team must own one set of required specialty equipment: rescue rope throw bag and reel.
Equipment provided by Huron Scuba Emergency first aid and oxygen kits.
Course cost $499 per student.  Includes PADI Rescue TOUCH Code, Pocket Mask and Emergency Slate
