Learn how to prevent accidents, deal with minor emergencies before they turn into major ones, and carry out a rescue in the unlikely event
of a dive accident. This course will teach you how to be a better dive buddy, a more confident diver, and is a significant step towards a
diving leadership role. The course consists of classroom, pool and open water training. DAN Oxygen Provider, current First Aid/CPR and
Scuba Diver certification are required to receive your Rescue Certification (see the Continuing Education Course Schedule for details).

Complete your workbook and watch the entire video prior to the first class session. There is a multiple choice exam. Equipment rentals
available at a 25% class discount. Any equipment used in training at Huron Scuba must have had an authorized service within one year.
Successful completion of this course earns PADI Rescue Diver certification.
Pre-requisites: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water
Diver, plus current First Aid & CPR (recommended
Emergency First Responder program). |

Full scuba equipment (including BCD with power inflator, regulator with octopus & gauges); cold water wetsuit or drysuit; compass; dive
knife; whistle or surface signaling device; flag & float with 100 ft of line plus throw bag (one per buddy team); dive reel; underwater
slate & pencil; dive tables, and log book.
