| Who can take the class: |
- Min. age 10 for scheduled pool lessons. For age 10 & 11 it is
recommended your child receive private open water diver lessons
with classmates you have selected.
- For scheduled open water certification dives,
minimum age 12. For age 10 &
11, private open water certification dives required (max. group
size 4 with up to 2 divers age 10 or 11).
- General good health with no medical condition
that is a severe
risk condition for scuba diving.
- Comfortable in water too deep to stand.

What to do before class (at least 2 weeks prior): |
- Purchase your
required personal equipment
(mask, snorkel, fins,
and boots) at Huron Scuba to get our poolside exchange privileges.
Already have it? All equipment must be inspected by Huron Scuba staff prior
to lessons to ensure appropriateness and proper fit.
- Watch the PADI DVD and complete the PADI knowledge reviews
prior to class.
- Complete the course paperwork online or in the store.
- Sign up with a $95 non-refundable deposit to hold your space. Balance
due 2 weeks prior to class start date and becomes non-refundable as of that
date.
